Superfund Mentor Program

Mentoring opportunities are available for Tribal professionals involved in Superfund-related activities.

We know how helpful it can be for Tribal professionals to learn directly from one another. While ITEP’s waste and response staff are here to help you, we also coordinate a variety of mentor activities where you can work directly with another Tribal professional who has dealt with challenges you may be currently facing. As part of our mentor work we can:

  • Provide you with the contact information of another Tribal professional who may be able to assist you with your work via phone or email communication. These peer matches are ideal for individuals who need some helpful feedback or tips from a Tribal colleague to help them overcome that one obstacle holding them back.

  • For more involved challenges, we can schedule a series of calls that will allow you to ask all of the questions you need to solicit feedback from your mentor. We will work with you through the process and help you create solutions for your Tribe. Onsite mentor travel is possible, barring COVID restrictions, and, if agreed to by both Tribes, will be paid for entirely by ITEP.
