The Tribal Superfund Working Group (TSFWG) quarterly meeting on January 26, 11AM Pacific/2PM Eastern is scheduled to discuss work on PFAS issues. See EPA’s PFAS Explained website for more information. Speakers and topics include:
- Matt Klasen from US EPA is going to give a brief overview on PFAS, discuss the EPA’s PFAS Council, and talk a bit about the PFAS Roadmap they released in October 2021.
- Dana Stalcup and Dawn Banks will talk about PFAS work being done specific to the Office of Land and Emergency Management.
- Mark Junker, Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas and Nebraska and the Tribal Waste and Response (TWAR) Steering Committee chair, along with Page Hingst, Santee Sioux Nation in Nebraska and TWAR Steering Committee member, will talk about Tribal priorities in regard to PFAS as well as some tools they’ve been using to better understand the impact of PFAS on Tribes.
We’re really excited to bring you such a great group of Tribal and federal experts to talk about this critical issue. We’ll have an hour of presentations and then a full 30 minutes for your questions and discussion.
